Rail: Linlithgow train station is on the main Edinburgh to Glasgow line with frequent trains to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling & Falkirk / National Rail enquiries.
Platform 1 heads east towards Edinburgh Park (and the airport), Haymarket and Waverley stations.
Platform 2 heads west to Polmont, Falkirk, Larbert, Stirling, Dunblane, Cumbernauld and Glasgow Queen Street stations.
Edinburgh Trams: run from Edinburgh Airport with numerous stops to York Place (city centre).
Bus: Good routes in the town and to all main destinations. The Royal Route (number 38) is run by First Group linking Edinburgh to Stirling.

Car: The M9 motorway passes to the north of the town:
Junction 4 lies to the west of Linlithgow linking the main routes south (M74) and north (A9) in Scotland.
Junction 3 lies to the east of Linlithgow providing links to and from Edinburgh and the Queensferry Crossing.
From Edinburgh Airport drive along the airport road towards Ratho Roundabout. Join the M9 motorway from its start (heading towards Stirling) then turn off at junction 3, signposted Linlithgow. From there, turn left at the junction and follow the road straight into the town.
By public transport - The Edinburgh tram runs from the airport to Edinburgh Park Station in 13 minutes where you get the train to Linlithgow in 14 minutes
